S. Janagasutha's legal journey began in 1997 after obtaining her LLB (Hons) from the University of London. She entered the corporate world as a legal executive with AmfinanceBerhad, where she quickly rose through the ranks to a senior executive position. During her tenure at the bank, she honed her skills in fraud detection and claims, conducted seminars nationwide, and played a pivotal role in revising the group's legal agreements.

For seven years, S. Janagasutha gained invaluable experience in various areas of law, including sales and purchase transactions, loan documentation, debt recovery proceedings, and estate distribution.

In 2004, she transitioned to private practice, joining Messrs Ram & Rais, followed by stints at Messrs Gulam & Wong, Messrs Sivananthan, and finally, a decade-long tenure at Messrs Mathews Hun &Lachimanan. In 2018, she established her own firm, Messrs Sutha Siva.

With over two decades of legal practice, S. Janagasutha is a seasoned litigator who has actively handled a diverse range of contentious matters at all levels of the Malaysian court system.
